To answer the question that's been swimming around everywhere:
no, it most certainly is NOT a gay film, so guys, quit your squirming.
Sexual orientations are not an agenda of this movie.
Unless of course you want the "western" image in your mind to remain macho and Clint Eastwood-like....
then I am in no position to force you to go see what awesome things Ang Lee did in the film...
he gave the world a surprise out of something so unexpected and uncompromising.
把這麼陽剛的西方背景注入這麼細膩的東方情感，好難好難，但是他辦到了。
而其實這部作品從頭到尾只是要陳述 "一段平凡人之間無奈的愛情故事" 而已。
它只是剛好選擇了兩個男人作為主軸。

它不是vodka martini － 並沒有酸楚到讓你一抽搐就淚流不止；
但它的後勁比連灌五杯tequila shots還要強。
you don't have to BE Jack and Ennis to know what they experienced,
because it is something that anyone who's ever been in love will go through in similar ways.
兩個年青人相遇相惜，在人生種種的限制與壓抑中，企圖用艱難的真情來延繫一生的故事。
他們在社會中扮演的角色是平凡的，
他們的際遇令人唏噓，
但他們的感情是真實而偉大的。
這部作品想讓觀眾體驗到的是，縱使我們生活在物慾橫流、虛情矯飾的世界裡，
還有真愛值得我們去用一生去奉獻、去相信。
愛情，無關性別；你有權利不認同這樣的愛情，但你無能也無權去傷害或歧視它。

"You gotta fix it, Jack... If you can't fix it, then you'll just have to stand it...until it can be ridden."
但Ennis這段話，卻為了他們日後的分離埋下了伏筆。
基於童年的記憶與社會的現實，他不願意為感情冒險，他堅信自己是"符合社會準則的"，
所以他還是下山結婚生子去了。
誰知道，四年後的一張明信片，又將僅存一縷火光的狂野給重新點燃。
Jack本身就是愛冒險、不顧一切的性子，之後的二十年一直想要讓彼此的關係有個結果；
"we could come up here, build ourselves a ranch....have a home we could call our own,"
他從第一次重逢到最後一次與Ennis上Brokeback Mountain，就不斷的重述這些話。
然而Ennis仍然選擇以假面之身度日，頻頻駐足，不願向前。
直到他親手葬送了這段感情才發現若是當初他能夠坦白面對自己的心，也許就不會抱著遺憾....
愛情，不都是這樣的嗎？

電影從頭到尾都充滿了李安的影子。
他的風格與張藝謀和陳凱歌不同，他不會想藉由畫面的壯麗來勾勒些什麼，
而是讓時而洶湧、時而涓流的感情一點一滴的滲透到觀眾的心裡，一如他本人親切的個性。
再者，能夠在兩個小時裡交代二十年的時光，更是剪接上艱難的工作，
但李安還是很樸實的將故事按照時間進行的順敘法，
將兩個主角間各別的複雜生活與共度的短暫時光編織交錯成一場心痛與心碎的暴風雨。
電影中存在著許許多多象徵性的小細節，像是用"釣魚"來作為約會的藉口，
以及最後Ennis在Jack的衣櫥裡發現他的夾克裡掛著Ennis當年在山上牧羊時的襯衫，
會使觀眾更確信，這是李安拍的片。

In a world that may say we are wrong
"I swear.........." finally, an ending that was not trying to please the pop culture-poisoned public!
(it would be if Ennis actually got Jack's cremation and cast it over Brokeback Mountain...
which was probably what half the audience in the theater was expecting = =
I could tell at the end that half the audience did NOT catch Ang Lee's stance in the movie....>
P.S. 為了要看斷背山而今天工作得很草率，因為很怕首晚上映會跟"魔戒"、"哈利波特"一樣
要排兩個小時的隊才買得到票。結果沒想到下班後我和同事飆去總督影城看十點的場
還買到了不錯的位置，整間戲院理才坐不到三分之一，而且居然還是早場價。華納威秀真的是黑店！
