So why should I write only when I have photos to go with it?
(but I haven't been doing that for the last several posts either XD)
I'm better at writing, not taking pictures (partly due to my laziness), or else I would've chosen photojournalism as my career.
Anyway, a brief recap of my hectic week:
Spent Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Legislative Yuan mingling with brainless lawmakers and stupid government officials.
Pop quiz #1: who said "Je pense, donc je suis?"
#2: who is the philosopher that proposed existentialism?
Our new foreign affairs minister got both questions wrong,
and I wonder if he passed world culture history in high school.
5 railway workers got killed by a night express at midnite Thursday, spent Friday at the railway administration waiting for the director to announce his resignation.
That's reporter life for ya! No wonder there are anger management classes...
Got my new cellphone on Wednesday,
and I wish I knew how to quit it XD
but how can I, when it's a 3-in-one walkman, camera and cellphone?? (with audio-recording for hours and FM radio so I don't miss any breaking news)
it's just way too cool!!!
however, it also means that I can't afford to buy any new clothes or eat anything over NT$200 until the end of this month...
Visited my news writing prof on Thursday,
and made me wish I spent more effort on his assignments.
He really is a great teacher who isn't the least biased
and always knows exactly what he's talking about
(unlike the majority of profs in journalism)
And today, was going to see "Vagina Monologues" with my colleagues,
but had to pass because an old man got killed by a train (AGAIN) this afternoon
when he leaned out the platform to spit on the tracks.....
And whose fault is it? The railway, of course!
In Taiwan, the people are always right!
In Taiwan, you can blame the government when you have debt collectors hunting you down cuz you owe the bank a million dollars!
In Taiwan, you can blame the government when your kid doesn't know how to write Chinese characters anymore cuz he/she starts to use computerized word processing programs when he/she's 5 years old!
